Connect an AI app to MSC Inventory
This connection is read-only. It can never change data.
Before you start
An admin must turn on AI access for your account. Only admin, inventory manager and inbound manager accounts can use it.
Server URL:
https://mcp.myspacover.com/mcp
Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop)
- Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the server URL.
- Sign in with your MSC web portal email and password.
- Click Allow.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector first.
ChatGPT
- Turn on Developer Mode in ChatGPT settings. Availability depends on your plan.
- Add an MCP app or connector with the server URL.
- Sign in with your MSC web portal email and password.
- Click Allow.
Other AI apps
If the app can connect to a remote MCP server by URL with OAuth, paste the server URL and sign in. Apps that are not on the approved list show an "unverified app" notice: only continue if you started the connection yourself. Some apps (for example Cursor) still need an entry from your admin.
Cursor
Add this to your mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"msc-inventory": {
"url": "https://mcp.myspacover.com/mcp",
"auth": {
"CLIENT_ID": "cursor"
}
}
}
}Claude Code
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --client-id claude-code --callback-port 53682 msc-inventory https://mcp.myspacover.com/mcp
Grok

What the AI can read
- Inventory and stock levels
- Orders
- Supply and inbound shipments
- Reports
Disconnecting
Remove the connector in the AI app. An admin can also log you out of all AI apps at once.
Common problems
- Invalid credentials or access not enabled: the password is wrong, or AI access is not turned on for your account.
- The sign-in page loops, or the app says it can't connect: remove the connector and add it again. Check that the URL ends with
/mcp.
